  • Offer a wealth of storytelling, music and movement opportunities
  • Create a variety of art and sensory experiences
  • Explore colors, numbers, shapes and letters
  • Provide gross- and fine-motor experiences in a rich, challenging environment
  • Play indoors and outdoors daily
  • Promote confidence and encourage independence through acquisition of self-help skills​
  • Foster social and language development through cooperative play
  • Further develop social skills by providing activities for imaginative play
  • Learn to sit through multi-step, teacher-directed activity time
  • Practice sharing, taking turns and making independent choices
  • Master tools for kindergarten-readiness: scissors, paintbrushes, alphabet and math manipulatives
  • Work independently at centers
  • Practice sequencing and patterning activities
  • Expand work with numbers and math concepts

The Penguin class meets Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
from 12:45-3:15 p.m.
